Privacy Policy
This page describes what this site collects, why, and who else processes it. It covers notebooklm-guide.com and its language subdirectories. It is written to be checkable against the site itself rather than to be comprehensive-sounding.
What we do not collect
We do not ask you to create an account, and there is no login. We never receive or store your payment card details — checkout happens on Stripe's own pages.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not run advertising or ad-network tracking on this site.
Analytics
Pages load Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-LRVSV7C9DM) through Google Tag Manager's gtag.js. It records page views, scroll depth, outbound and call-to-action clicks, prompt-copy events, and a release identifier so we can tell which version of the site a session saw.
GA4 sets its own cookies and may process data on Google's infrastructure, including outside your country. Google's handling is governed by its own privacy policy.
Data stored in your browser
The site stores a small amount of state in your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage so it does not show you the same prompt twice. The keys are nlm_registered, nlm_registered_at, nlm_paid, nlm_purchased, nlm_has_cheatsheet, nlm_starter_kit_started_at, nlm_copy_daily, nlm_copy_daily_date, nlm_copy_lifetime, and nlm_analytics_debug.
These stay on your device, are not transmitted to us as a profile, and are cleared when you clear site data in your browser.
If you submit an email address to receive a free resource or updates, it is processed by Kit (formerly ConvertKit), which sends the mail and stores the list. Feedback and pilot forms on tool pages are handled by Netlify Forms.
You can unsubscribe from any email using the link in its footer. To have your address deleted entirely, email help@notebooklm-guide.com.
Purchases
Checkout is handled by Stripe. Stripe collects the email address and billing details needed to process payment and issue a receipt, and shares with us the order record and buyer email required to deliver the product.
Products are delivered by email as encrypted PDF files. We retain order emails so we can re-send a download and honour the updates included with a purchase.
Hosting and fonts
The site is served by Netlify, which processes request logs including IP addresses for security and delivery. Typefaces load from Google Fonts, which receives the request needed to serve the font file.
Your choices
You can block or clear cookies and site data in your browser, use Google's own opt-out for Analytics, unsubscribe from email at any time, and email help@notebooklm-guide.com to request access to or deletion of anything we hold about you.
If you are in the UK, EU, or a jurisdiction with comparable rules, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is written for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Changes
When this policy changes materially we update the date below. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the current version.
